Dear Seedbeds friends
Over the past four years, leadership and project incubators have been growing with Seedbeds Myanmar and Thailand. In a land facing ongoing crisis, fear, and war, these have been nothing short of a lifeline.
Through our Change Incubators, grassroots leaders are being equipped to design and run projects that bring hope and resilience in the toughest of circumstances. These include initiatives in education, health, and income generation, creative responses that are literally saving lives and sustaining communities.
Some of these efforts have also blossomed into Free Burma Handicrafts, where you can see and support products handcrafted by our partners, turning skill into survival and dignity.

This has been personal for us. Late last year and earlier this year, Anji spent four months on the Thai-Burma border, helping strengthen this vital partnership with the National Unity Government. In March, our partners also stepped up as first responders when a massive earthquake struck inside Burma, showing once again their courage and commitment in times of great need. Anji also led a team in June that included educators, entrepreneurs and health specialists to support projects started.
This work is fragile but deeply transformative. It shows the power of local leadership when nurtured, trusted, and resourced.
Could you stand with us?
Your support helps ensure these local leaders continue to have the training, tools, and encouragement they need to seek change from within. You can:
• Pray for peace, justice and strength for our partners in Myanmar and Thailand.
• Support livelihoods by purchasing items from Free Burma Handicrafts. Why not order meaningful gifts for loved ones? Christmas isn’t far away!
• Give to Seedbeds here to invest in local leaders on the front lines of change with the next cohort of Change Incubators being nominated ready for 2026.

Anji will also lead a team to visit the Thai-Burma border in February 2026 to support projects whilst Ash will lead a team to support the Change Incubator cohort and pitch to panel in June 2026. Could you join us?
Together, we can keep sowing seeds of hope where it’s needed most.
Shalom
Rev Dr Ash & Rev Anji Barker
