Alternate Pathways

Too many lives in our urban communities are cut short before they begin. To better see the potential of local leaders released, we know they need to find good, healthy, alternate pathways when they are young. A key way to do this is to find ways to connect with God, people and nature in healthy ways. Our hope is that if we can help children and young people experience fullness of life like this, then they will have a better chance of finding pathways to become inspiring leaders of change in their communities as their future unfolds.

In 2021 we piloted a Young Change Makers programme using The Greenhouse at Barnes Close and our Local Seedbeds facilities and leaders to better support children and young people becoming leaders. We are always exploring partnerships with other education organisations and community-based churches and charities to see what is possible together.
