Unjust situations can change when growth and connections happen from the ground up. Solidarity across boundaries can alter destinies of people and places. Sharing friendships, resources, experiences, insights and learning can make poverty personal and build capacities for all to grow… even in the most troubled contexts.
Our Hopes
Seedbeds Global builds capacity in all its forms with our partners through connecting communities together across boundaries. We create vital connections of solidarity between grassroots communities around the world to:
- Grow leaders and communities into fullness of life.
- See an improvement in living conditions – experiencing more of joy, justice and goodness in their context.
- Generate solidarity and learning with other, like minded communities.
- Access the people, power and finances necessary to release their destiny together.
Our Programmes
We offer opportunities to join in solidarity partnerships in Myanmar, Thailand, Ukraine, Germany and Australia. These include:
The Military Junta in Myanmar have been slaughtering its own people for decades, but a fresh wave of brutality hit in 2021. On 1st February 2021, the Military staged another violent coup. Many of its citizens have fled to safe areas while others have stayed to resist the Junta with direct action campaigns. Both are becoming more vulnerable as the military grows bolder.
Would you stand with the people of Myanmar in their darkest hour?
A. Write to our PM calling our Government to recognise and deal with the democratically elected government of Myanmar which is the National Unity Government (and not the Military Junta)?
B. Help fund urgent medical relief, shelter and training for those who are making it to safe areas? Through our partners on the ground we can get the aid to the right people there.
C. Help fund those courageous activists who are resisting the Junta with a Civil Disobedience Campaign inside Myanmar? Through our partners on the ground in Myanmar we can get support to the right people. D. Help fund Seedbeds ‘Change Incubator‘ programme, empowering leaders in Myanmar. Partners with educational institutions in the Ukraine and Germany for urban community development and ministry programmes. Partnerships include: Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary and Church in Action Germany

Our emerging leaders programme began in England and our vision is to form an international network of emerging leaders’ programmes that started with a successful pilot programme in Scotland 2022.
Our History
Seedbeds Global was formed in 2021 out the international connections that the Barker family have developed over 30 years. The focus for Seedbeds Global is building leadership and community capacity in all its forms through connecting communities together across boundaries.
